Crewe Alexandra have been successful in their appeal to overturn goalkeeper Ben Garratt’s one-match suspension.

The 21-year-old was sent-off during the weekend FA Cup loss to non-league visitors Eastleigh but has won a case for wrongful dismissal.

The Independent Regulatory Commission decided the Alex net-minder had not prevented a clear goalscoring opportunity when bringing down an opponent outside the area.

Garratt is therefore available for the weekend visit to Bradford City.
