Goalkeeper Alan Martin is targeting another clean-sheet for Crewe Alexandra at Brentford this weekend.

“I’ve got my chance and now I want a long run in the team” – Alan Martin

The 24-year-old has recently returned to the starting eleven at the expense of senior colleague Steve Phillips and immediately responded with a shut-out against Bradford City.

“Clean sheets are unbelievable for confidence, the manager is always on about them,” Martin told the Crewe Chronicle. “That would be great, but the three points are the main thing.

“It’s good for me to be back, I want to play as many games as possible. Only conceding once in two games is a big bonus, especially when you think we let in six in the first two games of the season,” he added. “I’ve got my chance and now I want a long run in the team.”
