Goalkeeper Alan Martin wants more time to consider a new contract offer at Crewe Alexandra.

“I love the club completely, it is the most settled I’ve ever been at a club since I was 15” – Alan Martin

The 23-year-old has been on a short six-month deal until receiving the opportunity of an eighteen-month extension following a number of impressive displays this season.

“There were rumours last month I was going to be offered a six-month extension, which would have given me a little bit of security, but obviously 18 months is better and it is good to know you are wanted,” Martin told the Crewe Chronicle. “I love the club completely, it is the most settled I’ve ever been at a club since I was 15.

“I am settled at my house and the group of boys I play with are excellent,” he added. “I want to be here, yeah, but I still want to go and speak about it with my agent and family.”
