Otsemobor will join Norwich this summer after agreeing a 3 year deal with the Canaries. ‘Semi’ turned down a new contract offer from Crewe in November, upsetting fans in the process.
Otsemobor first joined the Alex on loan in 2005 from Liverpool and impressed enough to earn a contract offer from Dario but the Liverpudlian decided in favour of Rotherham United instead, a team one league below us. Six months after joining Rotherham ‘Semi’ was back, cap in hand, hoping for forgiveness.
Having made just four starts for the Millers his career was going down the pan but Dario forgave and offered him a 18 month contract, but within 10 months Semi made it clear that he was to leave in summer 2007. Snubbing the club for the second time was the final straw for many fans.
Otsemobor certainly won’t be welcomed back any day soon.
