Darren Deadman will be the referee when we visit the Keepmoat Stadium on Sunday.

Mr Deadman has been a referee for four years, and a league referee since the 05/06 season. He’s refereed two Crewe Alex games in his career; last season he didn’t hand out any cards in the 1-1 draw at Cheltenham. In 05/06 he failed to bring us any luck when reffing the hurrendous 5-1 defeat at Derby. Crewe loan ‘keeper Ross Turnbull was booked for time wasting that day. At 4-0 down.

Deadman has never refereed a Doncaster match. So far this season, he’s handed out 8 yellow cards and 1 red card in three games.

This time last year Deadman was suspended by the FA ‘for less than proficiently applying the Laws of the Game’. He missed two games after a ‘ disagreement over the number of permitted substitutes prior to a pre-season friendly’.

Deadman will be assisted by G Atkins and A Smith. The fourth official will be W Porter.
