Injuries Mean Return For Powell?

Teenager Nick Powell could be back in the Alex line up after a month out after injuries started to pile up at Reaseheath this week.

The 17 year old hasn’t seen first team action since he saw red for a rash tackle in the Alex’s win at Plymouth Argyle way back in August. Even after serving his 3 match ban, Powell was left to play in the U-18’s fixtures in recent weeks.

However, with Lee Bell out of tomorrow afternoon’s trip to Dagenham & Redbridge having picked up a knock in the Vale game and Danny Shelley taking a whack to the ankle off Max Clayton in training, Powell looks set to pick up the vacant midfield spot.

The youngster however does have competition for the place from Antoni Sarcevic. Sarcevic has spent much of the season on the bench but it seems like Powell will leapfrog him for tomorrow’s game.
