Crewe Alexandra left with a point following a 1-1 draw at Millwall in a game that witnessed three penalties.

Brad Inman put the visitors ahead from the spot after George Cooper was brought down by goalkeeper Jordan Archer’s 64th minute challenge.

Five minutes later Lee Gregory equalised from another penalty award as Alex keeper Ben Garratt was adjudged to have fouled Byron Webster.

However, Gregory was less successful from twelve-yards when hitting an upright after Ollie Turton handled inside the area with just a couple of minutes remaining.

Keeper Garratt earlier made decent stops from Aiden O’Brien, Gregory and Welsh international Steve Morison.

Both Shaun Cummings and Shaun Williams had already tried their luck from distance and Jed Wallace wasted another opportunity, while James Jones tested Archer from the edge of the area at the opposite end.

Gregory soon called Garratt into action upon the restart, but it was Inman opening the scoring from the penalty spot; although that was almost immediately cancelled out in similar fashion by Gregory.

Wallace then fired over after being released by Morison before late drama as Gregory missed a second penalty close to the end.
