Crewe Alexandra striker Mathias Pogba has signed a new extended contract at Gresty Road.

“We are delighted because we want him here as long as possible” – Steve Davis

The 23-year-old former Wrexham hit-man is still to feature this term after suffering a knee problem during pre-season. He has though recently returned to training.

Pogba scored sixteen goals in his debut campaign for the club last season and now remains with the Railwaymen until at least the summer of 2015.

“The club have exercised the option on Mathias’ contract and we are delighted because we want him here as long as possible,” manager Steve Davis told Crewe’s official website. “We want him here to learn and improve even further. We think there is more to come from him and we will continue to get the best out of him.”
