Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis believes new striker Danny Haynes is capable of making a real impact at Gresty Road.

“He could have had a real impact here” – Steve Davis

The 26-year-old former Bristol City, Barnsley and Charlton Athletic forward
has been brought in to boost the front-line on a month’s loan from Notts County.

“Danny is an experienced forward and has a proven track record,” Davis said to Crewe’s official website. “He has scored goals in the Championship and that is a tough league to score goals in.

“He has played for some big clubs over the years and if he can recapture some of that past form then he could have had a real impact here,” he added. “He has pace and is strong and we have seen flashes of that in training already.”
