Gudjon Thordarson says he may well bring in a goalkeeping coach in a bid to improve between the sticks.

It’s long been debated amongst Alex fans that the lack of specialised goalkeeper coach at Crewe is a major reason for our lack of fortune at the back.

Dario Gradi and Steve Holland were previously both against the idea of appointing a coach for the keepers, with Steve Holland stating it was a job he could do himself.

Thordarson meanwhile says he may use his contacts and see about a part-time coach to help Collis & Tomlinson in training after their spectacular errors cost Crewe the FA Cup tie against Millwall.

Speaking to crewealex.net, Thord said: ‘A goalkeeping coach may help them improve. Perhaps the keepers feel neglected in some of the sessions and I think a specialist coach could help them. It is definitely something I will look into it. I know people who could help us and perhaps we will start with a part-time coach who can come in 3-4 times a week and take us forward.’
