Dario is looking to get the full value from the loans of Simon Walton and Harry Worley.

The pair are the only remaining loan players from Gudjon’s era, with ‘keeper David Button being replaced by Dario’s loan signing of Steve Phillips from Bristol Rovers.

Walton and Worley however have a lot more to offer, according to Sir Dario. Walton, on loan for the season from Plymouth, is set to keep his place in the Alex midfield tomorrow despite Steve Schumacher regaining fitness.

The former QPR man put in a less than convincing performance in the FA Cup game at York last Saturday but Dario believes that he’ll only improve with regular games. Speaking to CreweAlex.net, Dario said:

‘Schumacher is fit and available again. Saying that he will probably start on the bench because I have been pleased with Simon.

‘He is a good footballer and his experience can help us. I don’t think it would do him any good to leave him out after just one game.

‘I want him on board with us because he is on loan here until the end of the season and we will need him.’

Meanwhile, Dario is hoping Harry Worley can prove to be the answer to our defensive problems. Currently recovering from a ankle injury, the Leicester defender has only played once in Dario’s current reign – in the 3-2 defeat at home to Rotherham.

With his return on the horizon Dario is now hoping the 20 year old can step up to the plate and help plug the goal leak at the back, but warns that if not then he will look elsewhere.

‘If Harry is fit then I’m sure that he would be challenging for a place at the moment.

‘I haven’t seen that much of him and I don’t know if he could be the answer there, but from what I’ve heard from various people, he could be.

‘We will try and find a solution to it here, and if not then I will not hesitate to go out and improve that department of our team.’
