Jaaskelainen Joins Nantwich On Loan

|

Crewe Alexandra have confirmed on the official site that young goalkeeper Will Jaaskelainen has re-joined Nantwich Town on a month-long loan and is available to play in the Northern Premier League’s opening game at home tomorrow.

Jaaskelainen, 19, will join the Dabbers for the second straight season on loan after a period during October and November which saw the keeper play in the FA Cup 1st Round defeat at Stevenage. After signing for the Alex in August 2017, Will has had loan spells with Loughborough Dynamo, Nantwich, Buxton and a month at Chester FC which saw him make around 20 appearances across his loan spells in all competitions.

What are the Dabbers getting from this move?

Manager David Cooke, father of former Alex academy player Sean, knows exactly what he’s getting having brought Will in last season as well as him playing 3 or 4 games for the Dabbers during pre-season. The left-footed keeper has also saved a couple of penalties during his time with the Dabbers and also has performed well in their games according to a couple of fans that follow the club home and away.
