Peterborough defender Exodus Geohaghon says he has had no contact from Crewe after reports suggested he was in talks with the club.

The giant centre back was said to be talking to the Alex last week after Peterborough had made the former Kettering man available for transfer. When Posh chairman Barry Fry was quoted as saying that a League Two club was talking to his defender, some sources tried to put two and two together.

Geohaghon told The Sentinel that he has had no contact with Crewe officials but believes there may be interest:

‘I’ve not been contacted by anyone from Crewe, but I know they were interested in me at the beginning of last season.’

So, Dario is still on the search for a dominating centre back as well as a left footed left-back. After the capture of Lee Bell last week it seems that, barring any further departures, the only transfers incoming will be of a defensive nature.
