Calvin Zola and Danny Woodards will sit out tonight’s friendly but Nicky Maynard is set to return up front.

Summer signing Zola has aggravated an achilles injury, which Holland puts down to a ‘change of foot wear’. Fortunately it’s not thought to be serious and the former Tranmere striker should be fit enough to face Hull City this Saturday. Danny Woodards is suffering a hamstring complaint and won’t be risked tonight, but again should be ok for Saturday.

Meanwhile, Nicky Maynard looks set to return to action after sitting out Tuesday’s game at Quorn due to a shin injury. The 20 year old has been the subject of bids from the likes of Ipswich Town this summer but whilst speculation rumbles on Nicky is to continue his pre-season preparations tonight.

Tonight’s friendly will be followed by a ‘behind-closed-doors’ game at Manchester City’s Carrington training ground tomorrow afternoon.

Tonight’s game at the Racecourse Ground kicks off at 7:30pm. Tickets are available at the gate priced at £7 adults and £3 concessions.
