As reported on the official site this afternoon, goalkeeper Ben Garratt has signed a 2-year extension to his contract, which will now expire in the summer of 2019.

The Market Drayton-born stopper made his debut for the club in the final game of the 2012/13 season during our ‘Academy 11’ game, keeping a clean sheet in our 2-0 win at home to Walsall and has gone on to make over 100 league appearances for the club, including being an ever-present this season.

He has also represented England at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 level, the latter of which saw his only cap at the Alexandra Stadium against Poland.

There has been no news about Jon Guthrie who was offered a deal at the same time as Garratt.
