Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis wasn’t ruling out further involvement in the transfer market over the next week.

“You never know what can happen in the window” – Steve Davis

The latest window finally closes on 2nd February, although clubs may still register emergency loan deals after that.

Davis has already extended his current loans in, while both Lee Molyneux and Thierry Audel have left the Railwaymen by mutual consent and reserve goalkeeper Scott Shearer temporarily moved to Burton Albion.

“I am happy with the squad but you never know what can happen in the window,” Davis told Crewe’s official website. “If a player becomes available, who we feel could make a difference to us or be one for the future then we would of course consider it.

“Maybe we will look to get one or two out and if one becomes available we could bring in but that will depend,” he added. “The most important thing for me was to tie up our loan players.”
