Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis may opt to send a couple of his fringe players out on loan.

“We’ve got to make sure they’re all available over that busy Christmas period” – Steve Davis

With a five-week break in the reserves league over Christmas, the likes of Andy White, Paris Bateman and Harry Clayton could be move out in order to give them regular action.

“The break will enable one or two to go out on loan,” Davis told the Crewe Chronicle. “We’ve got to make sure they’re all available over that busy Christmas period and they’re match fit.

“It’s very important for their development to experience some proper football played at a good level,” he added. “The UniBond, Blue Square North and Premier are very good levels of football now and it will challenge them.”
