Brad Walker Signs For The Vale

|

Port Vale have announced that former Crewe Alexandra midfielder Brad Walker has become their first signing of the summer, the midfielder signing a 2-year deal with the club.

Walker, 25, started his career with Hartlepool United before joining the Alex in the summer of 2017. He made 33 appearances for the club in his first season and made one appearance the following season (a 6-0 defeat at Colchester United) before heading out on loan to Wrexham for the first half of the 2018/19 season. He would sign for Shrewsbury in January 2019, spending the rest of that season at Wrexham but would only make 40 appearances in the two seasons since then.

He joins Alex Academy alumni forward Alex Hurst at Vale Park next season.

What will this signing mean for the Vale?

He’s a defensive midfielder who can also play as a centre-back that we didn’t see the best of during his spell with the Alex – he was someone that played most of his time with us in a back 3.
