In this column, we’ll look at those former Alex players that have been on the move in the month of July.

On Wednesday 6th, League 2 side Hartlepool United signed midfielder Callum Cooke on a 2-year deal. Callum made 18 appearances for the Railwaymen during a loan spell in the 16/17 season.

On Sunday 10th, League 2 side Bradford City would sign striker Vadaine Oliver on a 3-year deal. Vadaine would make 42 appearances in all competitions for the Alex in a 2-year period between 2013 and 2015.

On Monday 11th, League 2 side Gillingham would re-sign striker Mika Mandron, joining Scott Kashket who signed in June for the Kent club. Mika would make 85 appearances for the Alex during the last 2 seasons.

On Wednesday 13th, National League club Scunthorpe United completed the signing of left-sided Colin Daniel on a 12-month deal. Colin made 17 appearances in all competitions for the Alex between 2007 and 2009.

On Thursday 14th, Birmingham City would complete the signing of former England international goalkeeper John Ruddy on a 12-month deal, he made 19 appearances for the Alex in the second half of the 2008/09 season.

On Thursday 21st, Arsenal right-back Ryan Alebiosu would join Scottish club Kilmarnock on loan for the full season. Ryan made 6 appearances for the club during the second half of last season.

On Sunday 24th, Northern Premier League club Nantwich Town would confirm the signing of Jamaican international winger Joel Grant. Joel made 106 appearances for the Alex between 2008 and 2011.

On Saturday 30th, National League South side Billericay Town completed the signing of striker Chris Dickson. The former Ghanian international made 3 appearances for the Alex during a loan spell in the 07/08 season.
