Forest Green Rovers striker Stuart Fleetwood is likely to leave in the January transfer window if anyone meets the 250,000 asking fee which the Gloucestershire club have slapped on the player.

Fleetwood has been in fine goal-scoring form this season and scored the 3rd goal in their 3-0 win at Rotherham in the FA Cup replay on Tuesday.

The Blue Square Premier club have ruled out the striker leaving on loan before today’s 5pm deadline and have indicated he will be going nowhere unless a club meets the asking price.

Crewe are believed to be monitoring the situation but would face stiff competition from Cheltenham whilst Stoke and Charlton are also interested in the hitman.

The striker who has hit 23 goals this season is out of contract at the end of the current season so it is likely that Forest Green will cash in on the talented forward in the January transfer window.
