After a long wait Crewe’s second bid for Forest Green Rovers striker Stuart Fleetwood has been accepted and he will now come to Crewe for talks.
Crewe may still not be the only club in the race to sign Fleetwood before the close of the January transfer window though, and it is yet unknown if offers off other clubs such as Gillingham have been accepted.
The Fleetwood saga has been a long ordeal for the Crewe management and especially the Alex fans who will now both be hoping terms can be agreed and Stuart can become a Crewe player.
With 26 goals in 28 games this term for Forest Green, Fleetwood will hopefully bring that extra edge to a Crewe attack, that has only scored 5 goals in the last 8 games including 4 in the one home game against Tranmere.
