Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis has brought in Ebbsfleet United winger Michael West.

The 21-year-old has agreed a two-year deal and Alex were forced to compensate the Conference side by a nominal amount.

West was originally on the books of Fulham until joining Ebbsfleet, where he netted 23 goals during their promotion to the Blue Square Bet Premier the season before last.

He managed eight more last term and becomes the fourth new arrival at Gresty Road since the end of last season, following defenders Mark Ellis and Gregor Robertson and striker Mathias Pogba into the club.

Davis had earlier missed out on former loanee Billy Bodin and ex-Grimsby Town wide-man Michael Coulson after joining Torquay United and York City respectively.
