Getting winger Byron Moore to sign a new deal is going to be really key for next season, believes Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis.

“He has a lot of experience and he could help the younger players” – Steve Davis

The 25-year-old is now out-of-contract
but with almost 300 senior games for the club, Davis wants to use his experience to help some of the younger players along.

“We are talking to Byron’s agent and will offer him a new contract,” he told Crewe’s official website. “We would like him to stay because on his day he is one of the best wingers in League One. He started and finished the season strongly for us and we know what he is capable of.

“We will work to keep him here because he has a lot of experience and he could help the younger players coming through,” Davis added.
