Colin Daniel and Mark Carrington are both thought to be on the verge of signing for League Two rivals Macclesfield.
The pair were released by Gudjon Thordarson last month after both players failed to take their chance under the Iceman. Carrington, 22, left after coming through the club’s academy but, despite four years on professional terms, only made 18 starts for the club. Most of them came last season with Dario, Holland and Gudjon all putting faith in him early on.
Daniel meanwhile left after just a couple of years with the club. After signing for a small fee from Eastwood Town he was tipped by Dario to make the break into the first team. Despite a good run in the side under Dario and Gudjon last season his fate was sealed in March after a loan move to Macclesfield.
The Silkmen are now thought to have offered Daniel a permanent deal with them, as well as moving for Carrington.
It could prove a good move for both, a chance to just find their level and push on in their careers.
