Summer flop Anthony Elding wants more chances to turn opinion on him, saying he’s happy to honour the remaining two years on his contract.

Elding has failed to live up to the hype surrounding his £150,000 move from Leeds United in the summer and was promptly sent out on loan to League Two Lincoln following Thordarson’s appointment.

Having not scored for the Alex since August Elding managed only three goals in three months at the Imps, but managed to secure a second chance under Gudjon – starting in Friday’s 4-3 defeat at Stockport.

Unfortunately it was another goal less, somewhat uninspiring performance from the former Boston striker, but Elding admits he isn’t showing his best form. Telling The Sentinel:

I’ve got two years left on my contract and I want to honour that, but it is whether the club want me to stay. I have got a lot more to offer and the fans have a right to expect more of me.’
