Crewe Alexandra have announced that they have recalled defender Billy Sass-Davies and striker Lewis Reilly ahead of tomorrow afternoon’s home game against Notts County.

Sass-Davies has spent the last month at National League North side Altrincham but had only made the single appearance for Alty, as a substitute the day after signing against York City, and hasn’t made their bench in the last few weeks.

Reilly has been at fellow National League North club Curzon Ashton since early January and scored 8 times for them in his 16 appearances in all competitions.

What does this mean for the rest of the season?

I think that this means that Reilly will be involved tomorrow (likely from the bench at this stage) but wouldn’t surprise me if he starts most of the other games of the season.

As far as Sass-Davies is concerned, I’m not so sure that he will be involved too much for the rest of the season and it’s a case of recalling him for not playing for Alty similar to how Newcastle had recalled Sterry from ourselves last month.
