Queens Park Rangers striker Tom Hitchcock believes he can build a successful forward partnership with fellow loanee Chuks Aneke at Crewe Alexandra.

“I like playing with him and I think we can keep getting goals” – Tom Hitchcock

The duo were both on target in the weekend draw against Coventry City following good combination work at the Sixfields Stadium. Aneke supplied the
pass for Hitchcock’s first-half opener before the roles were later reversed for the Arsenal youngster to equalise.

“Chuks is a very good player, I like playing with him and I think we can keep getting goals if we keep working at it,” Hitchcock told the Crewe Chronicle . “I was pleased to score, it is a confidence boost. And I always think when you get one more follow so I just have to keep knocking on the door.

“I will always get in those positions,” he added. “I’m also the sort of player who always, if someone is in a better position, I’ll give it to them to stick away and fortunately it worked.”
