Crewe Alexandra duo Andy White and Harry Clayton have both completed loan moves away from Gresty Road.

Manager Steve Davis had been keen for some of his fringe players to receive regular match action as the reserve league closes over Christmas.

Therefore defender White has returned to Nantwich Town while striker Clayton has gone back to former club Newcastle Town.

White has already had a successful spell at Newcastle in the past while also impressing at both Nantwich and Stafford Rangers before agreeing a new twelve-month deal with Alex last summer.

Meanwhile, Clayton has similarly enjoyed loan spells with Market Drayton, Stafford and Newcastle until signing a new one-deal at the club before the start of the current season.
