Crewe have completed the signing of former trainee Adam Dugdale on a six month contract.

The 22 year old centre back returns after three years away from the club having come through the academy to sign professional terms before being released in 2007.After notching up several non-league stints, Dugdale was offered a trial by Dario earlier this summer following his release from AFC Telford.

After impressing in games against Quorn, Lancaster and West Brom, Dugdale this morning put pen to paper on a six month deal with the club.

Dugdale makes it six arrivals for the summer and Dario says that there is still time for the remaining trialists to earn a deal. With their futures all still undecided, the likes of Jimmy McCarthy, Lewis Short, Danny Maguire and Bartek Fogler should all get a run out in tomorrow’s trip to Nantwich for one last chance to impress.
