Returning substitute Ryan Colclough scored an injury-time winner as Crewe Alexandra moved back out of the relegation zone with a terrific 2-1 victory at Sheffield United.
Lauri Dalla Valle had earlier given them a twelfth-minute lead following good work from Uche Ikpeazu but Jason Holt equalised early in the second-half.
The Railwaymen made a terrific start to the contest with former Finnish Under-21 international Dalla Valle opening their account from close-range after receiving Ikpeazu’s pass.
Nicky Ajose was one of three strikers selected by the visitors and drove straight at Mark Howard when Anthony Grant stole possession from John Brayford.
Ryan Flynn’s effort at the other end was disallowed for a foul on goalkeeper Paul Rachubka while Jamie Murphy’s corner was headed over by Brayford.
Promotion hopefuls Blades were back in it though when Holt finished from an angle following Murphy’s 55th minute cross.
Brayford later headed Ben Davies’ corner against an upright before Colclough, who was returning from fifteen months on the sidelines, struck a sensational late winner from Jamie Ness’ short corner – marking a first-ever victory for the visitors at Bramall Lane.
