Doubt Over Hartlepool Game

Frost could prove fatal for tomorrow’s game as temperatures are set to plummet tonight. Temperatures are set to hover around 0°c to 1°c throughout tonight, with a high of just 3°c tomorrow afternoon. Snow is also forecast for much of tomorrow morning.

Many fans know that if the frost sets in over night then the chances of the game going ahead are slim, with the main stand casting a shadow over half the pitch throughout the day.

The Alex have already lost one game this season to frost, when Carlisle visited. The postponement wasn’t made till 2pm that day and led to much moaning from Carlisle.

Hopefully if the game is in doubt then both the club and referee will move quick enough to clarify the issue. There’s no reason why they can’t give a definite answer around 11:30am-12pm, as with the shadow from the main stand the pitch is unlikely to thaw between then and 3pm.
