Manager Steve Davis admits disruption in team selection hasn’t really helped Crewe Alexandra this season.

“It can affect the consistency of things but there is nothing you can do about it” – Steve Davis

Davis concedes the losses of Marcus Haber, Harry Wilson and Callum
Saunders to international duty, in addition to a number of injuries, have too often
limited options at Gresty Road.

“The international call-ups and the
injuries we have had at different times
this season does not help you have a settled team,” Davis told Crewe’s official website. “It can affect the consistency of things but there is nothing you can do about it.

“It would be nice to have them all fit and available,” he added. “But it has been a bit stop/start for most of the season for one reason or another.”
