Crewe Alexandra defender Harry Davis has signed a new two-and-a-half-year deal at Gresty Road.

The 23-year-old centre-back was out of contract at the end of the current season but now remains with the club until the summer of 2017.

Davis is rapidly closing in on 150 games for the Alex since his debut against Bradford City on the final day of the 2009-10 campaign.

He has also been stand-in captain this term in the continuing absence of fellow defender Matt Tootle.
