Defender Adam Dugdale has left Crewe Alexandra by mutual consent.

The 27-year-old centre-back completed 141 appearances and scored six goals in his second spell with the Railwaymen.

Liverpool-born Dugdale was previously released by the club as a youngster but worked his way back and rejoined them in July 2010.

That followed earlier stays at Barrow, Droylsden and Southport for Dugdale, who was also sent out on loan to Tranmere Rovers last season.
