Former Leicester City defender Zoumana Bakayogo has joined Crewe Alexandra on non-contract terms until the end of the season.

The Frenchman has been training with the Railwaymen since the summer while trying to prove his fitness after a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Bakayogo, 29, is a former Ivory Coast Under-23 international left-back and includes previous spells with Millwall and Tranmere Rovers.

But he then suffered injury on his Yeovil Town debut against Birmingham City in January 2014 and has been recovering by playing with the development squad.
