Defender Mark Ellis should be fit for the weekend visit of Coventry City to Gresty Road.

The 23-year-old suffered a nasty cut following a clash with West Ham United goalkeeper Stephen Henderson during the midweek Capital One
Cup defeat at Upton Park.

However, the former Torquay United centre-back was back in training on Thursday morning and already preparing himself for the weekend, although the news wasn’t quite so positive over striker Mathias Pogba who is rated doubtful with a knee injury.

But Matt Tootle and Michael West are both back in contention after featuring in the Under-21 win against Sheffield Wednesday in midweek.
