Sass-Davies Extends Yeovil Loan

|

Crewe Alexandra have announced that defender Billy Sass-Davies has extended his loan move at Yeovil Town for a second month.

Sass-Davies, 21, has made 8 appearances for the Somerset-based club so far (including getting a goal against Barnet) following a similar spell at Altrincham earlier in the season.

He has also had loan spells with Colwyn Bay, Leek Town, FC United of Manchester, Altrincham, AFC Telford United and Ashton United before his spell at Alty earlier in the season.

What will this mean going forward?

He’s going to continue to get regular football at a decent level rather than just play for our Under-23s and make the bench every so often. Yeovil have won 5 of the 8 games that he’s played (playing 90 minutes in all but one of those) and they have moved up from 16th when he joined to 13th but sitting a couple of points off the play-off positions, with the 2nd to 7th placed teams being involved in those.

Doing well in these games could help the defender to convince the Alex to extend his contract (which expires in the summer) or for a National League or maybe even League 2 side to show interest next season, whether that’s another loan deal or signing for them permanently should he not get a new deal at the Alexandra Stadium.
