Crewe Alexandra’s young centre-back Harry Davis was delighted to be celebrating a second Wembley triumph inside twelve months.

“I never dreamed I would get the chance to get to Wembley” – Harry Davis

Davis followed up appearing in their play-off final victory against Cheltenham Town last May by helping the Alex to a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final success against League Two Southend United.

The 21-year-old was responsible for an important goal-line clearance as the Shrimpers tried to find a way back during the second-half.

“It’s great to win at Wembley again,” an understandably thrilled Davis told the Crewe Chronicle “I never dreamed I would get the chance to get to Wembley. You hope, but to be there twice and win.”
