New defender Thierry Audel can’t wait to start after arriving from Macclesfield Town earlier this week.

“I am the kind of player who never gives up” – Thierry Audel

The 26-year-old full-back has signed a two-year deal with the Railwaymen with the option of a further twelve months.

Audel is certainly well-travelled having already encountered playing spells in his native France, Italy and Slovenia during his varied career.

“Crewe have shown me the most interest and for me it was obvious to come here,” he told the Crewe Chronicle. “I know Crewe [play] my kind of football, they like technical football so I’ll do my best to adapt as soon as possible.

“I am the kind of player who never gives up,” he continued. “Every game will be like a war and I will do my best every week. It is an opportunity to show what kind of player I am. I can`t wait.”
