Crewe Alexandra defender Adam Dugdale can’t wait to get back to full training at the end of the month.

The 25-year-old is naturally keen to recover his starting place in the side having missed the end of last season on compassionate grounds. He still completed 24 appearances for the Railwaymen on their way to a mid-table league finish and Johnstone’s Paint Trophy success.
“I am looking forward to getting back into it and there are some really good games lined up in pre-season,” Dugdale told Crewe’s official website. “With the likes of Blackburn, Villa and a Manchester United team, regardless of who they will be bringing to our place, they are going to all be a test.
“We have also got a match with Celtic behind closed doors and that will be a great experience as well,” he added. “There are plenty of games, and that will give all the squad a chance to play and impress.”
