Sass-Davies Called Up Again For Wales

|

Defender Billy Sass-Davies has been called up by Wales for their Under-21 squad for their 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying games in Gibraltar and at home to Switzerland (at Newport County’s Rodney Parade) that will take place on November 12th at 7:00 pm and November 16th at 6:00 pm respectively.

Sass-Davies, 21, has already made 5 appearances for his nation at this level and has already scored in this qualifying group, the second in Wales’ 4-0 win in Moldova back in September. The Welsh currently sit in 5th place in their group with 4 points from 4 games (with a win, a draw and 2 defeats so far) and will need to finish in the top 2 to qualify either for the tournament directly or via the playoffs.

He will miss the league game against Bolton Wanderers that is currently scheduled for a week on Friday.

Meanwhile, there are no fixtures for Wales at Under-18 or Under-19 level so no call-up for fellow defender Zac Williams.
