Former Crewe Alexandra loanee Brad Inman must decide his future by the end of this week and manager Steve Davis still hopes it could be at Gresty Road.

“I’ve kept in touch and I’d like to do something with him whatever happens” – Steve Davis

The 21-year-old Australian-born midfielder has until Friday to take up the offer of another twelve-month deal at Newcastle United.

“I’ll keep an eye on that and I’m sure I’ll be speaking to Brad’s agent in the next few days,” Davis told the Crewe Chronicle. “I’ve kept in touch and I’d like to do something with him whatever happens.

“He just has to decide whether he will get an opportunity in the first team if he stays at Newcastle or if he needs a new challenge,” he added.

Scotland Under-21 international Inman scored eight goals in 26 games for Crewe last season.
