Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis is still hoping to complete the signing of midfielder Abdul Osman.

Alex’s attempts to bring the 25-year-old to Gresty Road have apparently stalled over financial terms but Davis hasn’t yet given up ambitions of recruiting the former Northampton Town schemer.

“With Abdul it was always all about whether we could sort it out financially,” he told This is Staffordshire. “He turned down big money abroad because he wants to play in England.

“He wants to come to Crewe and I’ve made that quite clear to his representatives on several occasions. If we can do something, then we will.”
