Steve Davis wants Crewe Alexandra’s talented winger Byron Moore to continue the kind of form shown in midweek.

“If he wants play for one of the bigger clubs then he has got to be creating and scoring goals” – Steve Davis

The 24-year-old claimed both goals as the hosts once again came from behind to defeat fellow League One newcomers Swindon Town 2-1 at Gresty Road on Tuesday evening.

That followed a dozen games without a goal this season for a player whose previous strike came at Wembley in the play-off final back in May.

“If he wants to move up and play in the Championship or for one of the bigger clubs at our level, then he has got to be creating and scoring goals,” Davis told Crewe’s official website. “I don’t want us to be in the bottom half and I want three or four players getting into the double figures for the season to make sure we aren’t.”
