Manager Steve Davis felt it a decent performance as Crewe Alexandra secured a 1-1 home draw with Wigan Athletic.

In-form Brad Inman scored his third goal in two games to cancel out Reece Wabara’s sixteenth-minute opener, while both sides also hit the woodwork – Ryan Colclough with the Alex’s effort.

“I thought we were good throughout and it was a hard earned point for us,” Davis told Crewe’s official website. “I was surprised we fell behind when we did because we had started better than we have in recent weeks.

“It was a decent strike from their player but I expect Ben [Garratt] to save them from that distance. I am not sure if he was a bit unsighted or it took a deflection,” he added. “I was pleased with the way they all responded. They didn’t going a goal behind to affect them and we tried to carry on doing the right things and created chances of our own.”
