Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis has praised defender Stephen Kingsley following the expiration of his loan stay from Swansea City.

“He will go back to Swansea as a more positive player” – Steve Davis

The 21-year-old managed a dozen appearances and was a late replacement for the injured George Ray during last night’s dramatic victory at Colchester United.

“Stephen came here and was on fire in
the opening three or four games,” Davis told Crewe’s official website. “He has had some excellent games as well and found others really challenging.

“He has had the experience of playing in League One and it would have done him no harm,” he added. “He will go back to Swansea as a more positive player and a more positive person.”
