Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis was understandably satisfied to take a well-earned point in a 1-1 draw with Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road.

“Overall I thought a draw was fair and it was a good point for us” – Steve Davis

Winger Byron Moore’s third goal of the season cancelled out Lee Cook’s opener but the visitors were twice rescued by the woodwork before the interval.

“We certainly rode our luck in that period but once we scored we started to get back into the game and show more confidence,” Davis told Crewe’s official website. “We grew into the game and second half we performed a lot better.

“Maybe we were slightly the better side in the second half but both teams could have snatched the winner,” he added. “But overall I thought a draw was fair and it was a good point for us.”
