Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis is expecting the right kind of reaction from his players when they visit Walsall this weekend.

“I am not one for wholesale chances and maybe I will and maybe I won’t” – Steve Davis

The Alex will be looking to put the disappointment of a 2-0 defeat at Portsmouth right out of their minds at the Banks’s Stadium.

Davis says he is encouraged by the response so far following on from the loss at Fratton Park, where his side found themselves two goals in arrears inside twenty minutes.

“In the wake of a defeat, I look for a reaction from the players to see what they are going to do to get their minds back on the job and they have been all flying around,” he told Crewe’s official website. “I am not one for wholesale chances and maybe I will and maybe I won’t. We will keep assessing them this week before we decide upon changes or not.”
