Manager Steve Davis was bemoaning missed chances as Crewe Alexandra suffered a 1-0 defeat at high-flying MK Dons.

“There is no point playing well and not getting anything from the game” – Steve Davis

Charlie MacDonald scored the only goal inside the opening ten minutes as the visitors proceeded to spurn their own opportunities. AJ Leitch-Smith missed their best and struck the woodwork early in the second-half.

“I am disappointed and frustrated again because we created enough chances to have got a point or maybe even all three from the game,”
Davis admitted to Crewe’s official website. “I have been saying it for a few weeks and I’ve said it again to them.

“There is no point playing well and not getting anything from the game,” he added. “That is what it has boiled down today, we didn’t take our chances.”
