Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis is continuing to closely watch the situation regarding Billy Bodin at Swindon Town.

The Welshman has been offered a new two-year deal by the Robins but still hasn’t yet committed himself to last season’s League Two champions.

Alex remain interested for a player who previously impressed on loan for them but face competition from Torquay United, where he enjoyed a similar spell last season.

“He is a Swindon player and has been offered a contract there,” Davis reminded Alex’s official website. “We will have to see because if he doesn’t sign it then they would ask a fee.”
